Gutting My Home

I will use this blog to keep a running history of what is going on at Basin Street Records in New Orleans and our temporary federal government induced city of exile of Austin, Texas. This photo was taken by me in front of my home in the Lakewood South area of New Orleans just prior to the second evacuation of New Orleans due to Hurricane Rita. My home had 5′ of water and was gutted out to the 2×4 framing by a crew from David’s Debris Removal. In addition, my office on Canal Street was flooded, and my parents’ home was flooded nearby. I moved my 3 children, and my parents moved temporarily as well, to Austin on Labor Day weekend.
