The New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival has announced its lineup for 2007. The dates of this year’s festival are April 27-29 and May 4-6.
Kick off your Jazzfest on Thursday, April 26th with Basin Street Records’ 10th Jazzfest Party at the Howlin Wolf. Your ticket not only includes our party featuring Henry Butler and Theresa Andersson, but also a show by none other than Little Feat!

Basin Street Records’ artists performing at the Fairgrounds on the first weekend are as follows: Theresa Andersson, Henry Butler (both with his own band and as a member of New Orleans Social Club), Jon Cleary (both with his own band and as a member of Bonnie Raitt’s band), Kermit Ruffins and Irvin Mayfield and the New Orleans Jazz Orchestra. We’ll be there the second weekend. My 7 year old is heartbroken that Theresa Andersson and Amanda Shaw are both playing the first weekend. But at least we get to see the Jazz Vipers.
It appears that Borders will be running the CD sales at this years fest. Keep an eye on tourdates, I am sure that Theresa will have something during the 2nd weekend, but not necessarily where a 7 year old can watch. We are releasing a new CD by Kermit Ruffins, Live at Vaughan’s, in time for this years fest.
